Putin invaded Ukraine for many strategic reasons, and because Biden had just committed a debacle in Afghanistan and announced we would never fight Russia in Ukraine, and that it might be ok if Russia launched a “limited incursion”.
No one forced Putin to do a damn thing.
Putin wasn’t tricked into a war. He told NATO exactly what would happen. NATO rejected any compromise security arrangements ultimately effecting a coup in UKR the ensure things would go the way they wanted.
NATO got the war they wanted.
War mongers can shout to the high heavens that UKR had a right to join NATO and Russia should have let them. But shouting doesn’t change reality. NATO took actions they knew would lead to this war. NATO knew that there is no reality were Russia would accept UKR in NATO (or a NATO proxy). Pretty much everyone knew that.
NATO decided the deaths of 100,000+ people and spending $100billions+ was worth it to get at Putin.
If you think the war is worth it, then so be it. I don’t agree. I don’t think it was worth even one UKR or Russian soldiers’ life. This is elites playing games with the lives of millions for their own benefit.
