On Merrick Garland's Performance Art
American Thinker ^ | 25 Sep, 2023 | Henry P. Wickham, Jr.

Not a day goes by when I don't thank God and the then-majority in the Senate for keeping someone with Garland's character off the Supreme Court.

I have never aspired to serve in the US Congress, except in those moments when engaging in insider trading seemed financially rewarding; illegal for us ordinary Americans (ask Martha Stewart), but not for Congress. After watching the latest clown show that was Merrick Garland's appearance before Congress, I know how I would have addressed him had I been on that committee:

Mr. Garland. We have been subjected to many of your appearances before this committee. You have proven yourself to be remarkably consistent.

I have come to the conclusion that you have studied long and hard at the Hillary Clinton/ Adam Schiff School of Public Integrity, and you have graduated Summa Cum Laude. For those of you on the other side of the aisle, this means "with highest honors."

You come before this committee to testify and answer questions about your management of the Department of Justice. When pressed on even the most obvious malfeasance, you tap dance, pass the buck, feign ignorance, dissemble, and lie. I have no intention of asking you any further questions because it is a waste of my time and that of this committee. So here is my take on you and your dreadful performance at the Department of Justice.

I have no doubt that when you return to the Department after another stellar performance here in Congress, you smirk and take high fives from your colleagues: 'Boy did I put another one over on those rubes in Congress!' But you didn't. To paraphrase a line in an F. Scott Fitzgerald story, you are like a cut glass bowl, hollow and we can see right through you.

Garland should be arrested and held in the House jail until he tells the truth about FBI entrapment hoaxes.

I completely agree. Garland has been exceptional in executing his assigned duties.

Of course, his apparently assigned duties are to protect the Bidens and the Democrats.

The only thing he at which he excels . . .

The FBI should be prohibited by law from conducting any "Counterintelligence Operations". That is quite un-American.

They think they are the CIA now.

It was Obama’s goal to put both Holder and Garland on the Supreme Court.
Hillary loosing was the only thing that kept this from happening.

Doesn’t matter that Garland is in a different position, to effect the un-lawful actions ordered by the Deep State......look at the “not-a-biologist” they DID Confirm, as this is what “Justice” has evolved to in the former USA.

In spite of all of the other compromises and betrayals, I will give Mitch McConnell full credit for this - he kept Garland off the SC.

The reason he won‘t be prosecuted is that a majority of politicians, on both sides, are either deep in corruption, or the FBI has something on them.

The media is the same way - look at the liars and discredited low-lifes showing up on CNN and MSNBC. (Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Mike Barnicle, Dan Rather, Brian Williams, Joe Scarborough, etc...)

They were in for a penny, and now are in for a pound. All that's left is lying more audaciously then the last tine.

I would bet that none of the founding fathers ever expected that a Merrick Garland would/could ever destroy the legal system in this country!

I’d prefer Liam Neeson and a chair in a French basement.
