Can Trump be Stopped?
American Thinker ^ | 25 Sep, 2023 | John Leonard

By virtually every measurable standard, Trump should win the White House in 2024 by a landslide. However, the powers-that-be cannot afford to let him compete fairly.

Reading the most recent Washington Post polls, I’ve got to admit that I’m having to fight the temptation to become optimistic about the 2024 election. Trump is ahead of Biden by 10 points. It’s so embarrassing that the Post had to pretend their own poll was an outlier.

The question is quickly turning from, can Trump win? to can Trump lose?

The answer to both questions is, sure. These days fewer and fewer people like or respect Joe Biden. It would be easier to feel sympathy for the President as he appears to struggle with dementia if he’d been a nicer person prior to his decline, but apparently Joe was corrupt long before he started losing his mind. When he isn’t shaking hands with thin air, he’s doddering off the stage but snubbing the President of Brazil and forgetting to shake his hand.

SNIP

Does AP stand for Associated Press, or American Pravda? It’s difficult to tell these days.

Trump has no chance of receiving a fair trial prior to the 2024 election. Any trial will be election interference, but there is little or no chance he will receive a fair trial in Washington, D.C. officiated by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who has openly expressed her bias against the former president in the trials of other defendants but has yet to recuse herself.

If Trump is convicted in a sham trial and his case is appealed to the Supreme Court, there will be tremendous pressure put on the three Trump-appointed justices to recuse themselves. What happens if those justices recuse and the court splits 3-3?

> Where did all the “good” liberals go who used to support all of these things?

They got old and either died off or retired to some “artist colony” in New Mexico. Their places in society were taken by ardent little Maoists and Jacobins better at chanting slogans and hating than at actually thinking. Question Authority gave way to Generation Groupthink, whose members are *incapable* of questioning their politically correct received wisdom, even when their own life experience proves it to be a lie.

You may be right but I think there are a lot of “good liberals” who said those things all those years but who just completely rolled over and went along with the fascist direction of their tribe.....because they’re far more about tribe than principle. They just don’t want to admit that.

re I hate being the wet blanket to peoples hope, but being real is a harsh b!tch.

Agreed I will still vote for Trump and support those working on cleaning up voting, but by facing reality I can do what I need to do for the worst case scenario.

You need to believe in objective truth before you can have any firm principles. That’s the failing I saw most often in my old liberal friends. They either never believed or over time lost their belief that there was such a thing as objective truth. Once *everything* is subjective, you’re adrift, and then pretty soon you’re collecting in eddies with other sad souls who are likewise adrift.

From there it’s a very short step to, “Well, we can’t all agree on what we like, want, or think is good, but we can definitely agree on who we hate.” Few things unify a group like finding someone else they can all hate and blame for their unhappiness.

It’s junior high school cafeteria clique behavior, really. It’d be sad, if it wasn’t so destructive.

My fall back is to protect my state, but after the Paxton interview it may be futile to even attempt that.

With Whitmer on the ticket, Michigan will be very tough, and without Michigan the national will be tough as well.

Trump is going to be in ADX Florence and off the ballot in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

I doubt it, prosecutors depend on plea bargains to win. They get those plea bargains by threatening draconian sentencing if you fight them.
Trump isn’t taking any plea bargains and any trials before the 2024 Election will be a kangaroo circus.

Also, after Trump destroys the Republican dwarfs in the primary and rolls up a huge delegate lead going into the convention. You’re telling me he won’t be on ballots in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Really?

Until there is Voter ID, paper ballots, and in person voting, there will never be a Republican President.
