One show he was playing his guitar that was hardwired to his amp.

He began walking off the 12” high stage into the crowd - everyone was sitting at their tables - and kept playing his guitar.

He eventually made it to the door, walked out onto the sidewalk...al the while still playing his guitar and staying up with his band still playing on stage.

Some people in the club followed him out and began dancing & groovin’ right there on the sidewalk.

All this with his very long guitar cable still attached to his amp on stage.

Eventually he made it back on stage to finish the song.

It was wild - everyone drinking at their table and seeing a GREAT entertainer...who could REALLY play that ax!

Yep, the story is he had a 150’ cable. AC was just a flat out great entertainer. Virtuoso guitar with showman instincts out the wazoo. To me he’s the most exciting of the classic blues guys to watch. That said, Buddy Guy was also known for doing the wading into the audience thing while playing.
