TMZ reports that Tyler’s vocal cords are “mangled,” based on X-ray results. The singer had flown to Boston to consult with an ENT specialist after experiencing vocal cord bleeding during a concert in Long Island.

Doctors have now advised him not to sing for at least 30 days, putting further strain on Aerosmith’s already rescheduled tour.

Tyler’s vocal injury reportedly occurred early in a Long Island concert, yet he chose to continue performing. This decision has now led to a more severe condition, leaving him unable to even speak properly.

Sources to TMZ say Tyler “squeaks” when attempting to talk.
