Ukraine is focusing its main attack vectors from Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia Oblast south to Tokmak and Melitopol, as well as from Velyka Novosilka in the south to the Sea of Azov port of Berdiansk in western Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian armed forces continue to make small but sharp advances in their offensive against these focal points. The most recent success of Kiev’s advances, particularly in strategic areas between Donetsk and Zaporizhia, was the liberation of Andriivka.
The Ukrainian 3rd Separate Assault Brigade reported that its personnel had liberated Andriivka and completely destroyed the Russian 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, the 3rd Army Corps, after encircling the settlement. But now Ukrainian forces have begun to focus more on the Zaporizhia-Kherson settlement rather than Donetsk. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces continued offensive operations in western Zaporizhia Oblast and inflicted significant losses on Russian manpower and equipment near Verbove, 18 km southeast of Orikhiv. Ukrainian troops have managed to advance on the southern axis to a depth of 28 km into Russian-controlled territory.
One of the most important architects of Kiev’s successes is the Bradley armored vehicles in the Ukrainian army’s inventory. Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar reported that the soldiers of the 47th Brigade, who entered the village of Roboyne in a firefight, organized the evacuation of civilians in Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. These vehicles are still being successfully used on the front lines of Orikhiv, the critical area in Zaporizhia, and in the surrounding residential areas. Even Russian mines cannot stop the Bradley armored vehicles and they continue to break through the Russian defense lines in Zaporizhia. The 47th Brigade, the only unit known to have received Bradleys, was scheduled to receive 99 before the counteroffensive began.
In total, the United States has delivered 190 Bradleys, more than half of which have been delivered to operational units in Ukraine. But even this number of armored vehicles allowed Ukrainian forces to work wonders in Zaporizhia and create an offensive corridor all the way to Tokmak. Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War said that the Ukrainian defenders managed to block the troops of the 7th Airborne Division in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region. Analysts reported that the infantry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces broke through the Russian defenses and their dragon teeth. It is claimed that these critical successes were achieved as a result of the intensive work of the Bradley armored vehicles used by the Ukrainian army in the clash area. Due to Russia’s troop losses, lack of military ammunition and the old Soviet-era armored vehicles, it seems quite normal for Ukrainians to make a difference with Bradley armored vehicles. This is because Bradley western armored vehicles are doing excellent work on the front lines of Zaporizhia under the control of the 47th Brigade of the Ukrainian army.
But are these vehicles really as powerful as advertised? Bradley is a highly maneuverable and fast-moving armored vehicle that can transport troops to and from the battlefield, provide them with fire support and perform reconnaissance missions. The Bradly is a tracked vehicle, which is why it is sometimes incorrectly described as a tank. It is not a tank, but a tank killer. The Bradley is an armored vehicle with the firepower capacity to put troops into battle. Bradleys are operated by a three-man crew that includes a commander, a driver, a gunner and can carry up to six fully equipped soldiers. The vehicle can travel at speeds of just over 40 mph and has an operational range of approximately 300 miles. They are armed with a 25 mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun, a 7.62 mm M240C machine gun, and Tube Launched, Optically Tracked, Wire Guided (TOW) missiles that can hit armor from a distance.
Of course, the ammunition used by infantry carriers such as the Bradleys is as important as these armored vehicles. According to the Pentagon’s inventory of security assistance to Ukraine, updated this week, the US has sent more than 7,000 TOW missiles and more than 1.8 million rounds of 25 mm ammunition. These weapons are just a small component of the nearly $44 billion in military aid that Russia has provided Washington since it launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022. The Biden administration has also sent about 500 Stryker and M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as drones, artillery, air defense capabilities and advanced rocket systems.

In New York, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Staten Island University Hospital, where wounded Ukrainian servicemen undergo treatment and rehabilitation.
The Head of State saw the rehabilitation room where special equipment was installed to restore the physical capabilities of wounded warriors.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke to the servicemen and wished them a speedy recovery. The President awarded the defenders with the Order “For Courage”, III grade.
“Thank you for continuing to fight for our country and defend its borders. I also thank the doctors and all those who have been supporting Ukrainian soldiers since the beginning of the full-scale war. We will be waiting for all of you. We need you - every warrior of Ukraine - to defeat the enemy. Thank you for your service! Everyone is proud of you! I wish you recovery, victory and return home!” he said.
In addition, the Order of Merit, III grade, was awarded to Rebecca Gonzalez, Physical Therapist at Staten Island University Hospital Ocean Breeze, Michael Dowling, President and CEO of Northwell Health Corporation, and Peter Leone, Senior Physical Therapist at Staten Island University Hospital Ocean Breeze.
Prosthetics and rehabilitation of Ukrainian warriors is carried out with the support of Kind Deeds Inc non-profit organization.

The European Union is preparing the 12th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. New restrictions may be presented in early October or announced during the EU-US summit scheduled for next month.

According to Bloomberg’s sources, a group of member states, including Poland and Baltic states, are calling for additional sanctions on Russian liquefied natural gas and IT services.
The new sanctions are likely to include the EU’s version of the upcoming G7 ban on Russian diamonds.
“Earlier attempts to sanction Russian gems in Europe have met resistance from leading importer nations like Belgium, which argued that a simple ban without a global deal would just shift the lucrative gem trade elsewhere. The G-7 mechanism aims to track gems across borders, as well as introducing a direct ban on purchases from Jan. 1, and an indirect ban which would kick in more gradually,” Bloomberg writes.
The group of countries also proposes to impose restrictions on Russia’s nuclear sector. However, these attempts have repeatedly faced resistance, as too many member states oppose them.
In addition, the new package of sanctions may include steps to limit Russia’s ability to circumvent EU sanctions through third countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Türkiye.

The Ukrainian army has shown Russia and the world that it is not afraid to take on complex missions against challenging targets inside Ukraine and Russia. Today, the Ukrainian army has carried out mind-boggling operations in Donbass, on Ukraine’s southern front lines, in Crimea and even in Russian cities. As the latest reports and analyses of the Ukrainian war show, the most encouraging news of the day comes from the southern axis. The southern front has long been the main focus of the Ukrainian armed forces’ offensive. The objective here is quite simple, yet important. Ukraine aims to completely clear the south of the country of Russian invaders and shift the axis of attack to the Black Sea peninsula.
We’re heading to the Kherson region to explore the details of the hot breaking points. On the ground, Ukrainian forces are attacking Russian supply nodes and stepping up their activities around the Dnipro River. In other words, the Ukrainians are trying to put the Russians under a complete blockade. The Ukrainian tactic is quite simple. Kiev’s troops aim to exhaust and wear down the Russians on land and drown them completely in the water. Ukrainian troops on the Dnipro River, especially under cover of darkness, move behind enemy lines and conduct reconnaissance and sabotage operations. During these sabotage activities, Russian troops are suddenly attacked. As a result of the attacks, Russian boats and gunboats are buried in the cool waters of Dnipro.
Ukrainian forces turn the losses of the Russian army in their favor and knock them out. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to push back Russian troops to clear at least 10-15 kilometers of the strip of land on the Russian-occupied left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast. This will critically reduce the number of attacks on the right bank and will be a relief for residents of settlements along the coast. Over the past day, Russian occupation forces attacked residential buildings in Nova Kakhovka with controlled aerial bombs. According to preliminary information released by the Russian occupation authorities, one person was killed and three residents were injured as a result of the attack.
The occupiers cynically blamed the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the shelling. It was also reported that as a result of the shelling, houses in the Sokil microdistrict were hit and apartments in three high-rise buildings in the area of Gorky-Dovzhenko streets were destroyed. Ukrainians are aiming to clear the left bank of Dnipro to prevent these attacks.
