Since I was about 7 or 8 years old, I have *loved* Audie Murphy, but I had not heard/read about Pvt. Voss, the Medal of Honor medic, until I happened across the movie. If I were still teaching, I would make certain to include him when I prepped my students for our 7th-grade fieldtrip to the National Infantry Museum at Fort Benning!
The National Infantry Museum is one of the few good things about Columbus.
