India suspends visa services for citizens of Canada and tells it to cut its diplomats
Turdeau is such a national embarrassment. Now he’s insulted (what is likely) the most populous country on the planet. There’s a Sikh separatist movement working to win a separate homeland for Sikhs within India. A very militant faction of that movement operates with impunity inside Canada. It’s this group that was responsible for blowing up the Air India flight 182 from Montreal–London–Delhi–Bombay on June 23, 1985. All 329 people aboard, including 268 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens, and 24 Indian citizens were killed that day. Only the bomb maker was ever prosecuted to the best of my recollection.
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, one of the people believed to be behind the bombing, and a key figure in the Sikh separatist movement, was murdered in his car in Surrey, B.C., Canada, this past June. The government of India was seeking Nijjar’s extradition from Canada on charges related to terrorism and extremism. Turdeau was frosty towards Prime Minister Modi during the G20 this month and recently announced to the world that he thinks PM Modi was behind the murder. He thinks this is how you win friends and influence people. (*sigh*)
