EEE and many others here espouse the belief that if the US withdraws from the world, the world will not blow up and take us with it. That might have partially worked 200 years ago...
That doesn’t mean we should be involved in every dispute or conflict. Leave Niger to the locals and the French. Syria? Ugh, what a mess we made of that.
There is a harsh truth, however, that goes back far before our Founding Fathers: Freedom has a very high price. And this is not a world from which we can avoid paying that price. At least in this instance, we don’t need to sacrifice our young guys and gals.
Why is it, that nobody has been talking for at least a cease fire openly. A year ago from this past spring Biden actually sent Johnson over to put an end to any cease fire agreement and to continue to have the Ukrainians fight.
Why is that?
That is the case, in part. Isolationism is popular among people with a limited perspective. There isnt much that can be done without pushing education, in the broadest sense.
