The purple drapes and pink color scheme in the background of Tomi’s set, give it a “house-of-ill-repute” look. Not that I would have first-hand knowledge of such a thing..
The last three non-incumbent winners in Iowa were Cruz, Santorum and Huckabee. George the Younger was the last one to win the Iowa Caucus AND the nomination, and that was 24 years before the next one.
Iowa is usually a poor barometer for both parties. Its main use is in winnowing the field.
Yes. Nobody makes their campaign in Iowa, but plenty have ended their campaign in Iowa. Spending money like a drunken Jeb! doesn’t help much in Iowa.
Exactly. Iowa has more meaning this time. If Trump wins Iowa because Trump has such a huge lead everywhere it is over. In 2016 Trump and Cruz were seen more as equals and only a few points apart in Iowa. Now Trump is the big dog and up by 35% and Ron has lost more than half of his support in Iowa, is Ron going to be able to rig the caucus and win Iowa? Doesn’t seem like it. Trump will win Iowa but can afford to lose Iowa. For all the rest, Iowa is a must win.
De Santis problem is that he is from the Bush, Cheney, Paul Ryan wing of the party.
You were watching at the fair? All about Trump DeSantis ignored...

Yeah, we all know Jeff Roe tactics and we aren’t impressed after 2016.
The more significant question is: Will it matter who wins Iowa?
I don't think Iowa has mattered for a couple of POTUS campaigns. The media is working on a stale, old and outdated formula for winning the Presidential election.
Obviously Tommy Lahren is a DeSantis drooler. He sounds like some of the DeSantis snowflake sycophants that post here on FR.
Yeah, he prematurely ejaculated his political career. It's over, with nothing to show for it. Oh well, he can always write another book and title it" "What Happened" is, I Made a Boo-Boo.
I don't ever remember Trump having to ask anyone to clap at what he said.
Uh, let me think. No. 😆
Trump will win Iowa but can afford to lose Iowa. For all the rest, Iowa is a must win.

Yep.
It’s likely he will.
DeSantis will absolutely win Iowa because it may be the biggest evangelical state in the country. And these Iowans are not about to vote for someone who believes the “Heartbeat” bill is “too harsh.”
I can’t wait for the propaganda poll pushers to have to admit for the umpteenth time that the polls were wrong.
The Iowa Caucuses were not lost in 2016. That was merely a taste of the terror the DS would unleash when they frauded over 5 million votes in the general election, giving off the appearence that President Trump “lost” the popular vote.
“DeSantis problem is that he is from the Bush, Cheney, Paul Ryan wing of the party.”
For your information, when DeSantis was in Congress, he was a founding member of the “Freedom Caucus,” the most conservative wing of the Republican Party.
In fact, the “Freedom Caucus” was formed in 2015 as an opposition to the RINOs in Congress. So you see, unlike Trump who was a Democrat most of his adult life, DeSantis has always been a conservative and has proved it over and over again.
I understand why Pres. Trump used EOs but it’s not the best way to govern, particularly when a term is only 4 years long. You can’t bet on getting that next 4 years, as we’ve seen.
That’s two misstatements.
Trump was a registered democrat for 8 years, hardly most of his adult life. Registered Republican in NYC 1987-1998. Earlier registration in Queens 11 years plus Queens years
1999-2000 Independent 2 years
2001-2008 Registered Democrate 8 years
2009-2023 Republican 14 years
The correct Trump quote is that Trump said many people within the pro-life movement feel that the 6 week ban was too harsh.”
When asked about whether he would support restrictions on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, Trump replied, “I’m looking at all options.”
