Not intentionally, back in the early 90s, I became locally known for doing portraits of older people using the only photos their families and friends had available and they were always like 40-50 years younger.

I set out to do this and was told by a local famous portrait artist that it could not be done.

So I picked up that gauntlet and studied how skin, muscles and fat change with age and did them anyway and without exception everyone said their loved looked just as they did when they knew them.

This artist is not that great at this.

I think the old eyes are all wrong. They seem more or less the same “size” as the young pic. Most people’s eyes become more hooded with age and appear smaller.
