and I can't argue with you, academia does an excellent job of teaching people what to think, instead of how to think.
yes I am just a retired structural building inspector who made a passion of interpreting engineers intent through the study of cryptic jargon used in plans and code, so it was a "bussmans holiday" for me to go to the medical journals to form my conclusion and not rely on consensus (as they teach in school to rely on consensus).
and we have all seen the big pharma drug commercials on TV with the long list of legal disclaimers at the end LOL !
the history of pharmacology in modern civilization began at The Apothecary so even history lines up with my theories. Case in point: a shot of apple cider vinegar will out perform Prilosec and I can prove it without a case study ( LOL ! )
