New evidence shows how badly NFL teams discriminate against Black QBs in the draft

And then there’s Kurt Warner and Brock Purdy who barely get in (undrafted and last -draft-pick), and rise to the top quickly. The NFL rewards performance and winning. The All-Pro sample size is too small to get meaningful numbers.

I expect to see a story on too many white players in the NBA.

I remember they complained when they put Kevin Love on the Olympic team. He was the only white player, and they still complained about it.

The Negros are 15% of the population (unless you use advertising as a measure) yet 43% of quarterbacks and 65% of the other highly-paid other positions are Negros...

Clearly the NFL needs to be investigated for racial bias...

There really isn’t too much to figure- its simple actually.

The same coaches (Reid, Shannahan, Pederson) and franchises (Eagles, Pats, Niners back in the day) have the magic touch developing QB’s.

Then there are some franchises (Jets, Browns) who spend tons of early draft capital at the position yet suck at developing QB’s

You have Mahomes and Russell Wilson (both half black?)....against; Brady, Manning x2, Stafford, Aaron Rogers, Carson Wentz, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Joe Flacco, Steve Young, etc. etc. even while there were plenty of starting black QB’s in the league.

Wentz wasn't starting, and Foles (just as pale) did the job for the Eagles. Shouldn't omit Warren Moon and Doug Williams (Theismann was INJURED, but Williams was fine in the 'skins SB win).

Combine athleticism with football smarts, and you have a winning combination. Mahomes falls under that category. And for non-black People of Color, Tua is great when not injured.

General managers and coaches don’t make selections based on anything as mundane as Pro Bowl invitations. I would be serious money that detailed analytics are used.

Very very much.....*exactly*. A mediocre QB on a good, balanced, team.

I know ‘superstar athletes’ are entertaining and tempting but the temptation to have them in critical positions as a fix for an otherwise deficient team isn’t going to win in football.

Then they get hurt...what are you left with? IMHO the Lions and Goff have a great shot this year - because he’s not asked to perform miracles...just be efficient; make good decisions, be accurate & precise, and DON’T THROW PICKS....on an otherwise balanced team.

Where are the Hispanic quarterbacks?

Last latino player I remember was Victor Cruz.

I’m not saying having both isn’t desirable...only that the data doesn’t appear to support that a better athlete at the QB position is more likely to produce a SB ring. Mahomes makes good decisions...so yes, having both is better but typically it’s unnecessary. That is what the data says, having a balanced team is required more than a superstar athlete at the QB position. It can’t be done all by one player in football, unlike many other sports where a single player can take over. I’d argue if you find yourself having to RELY on the athleticism of the QB you’re playing a dangerous game and exposing other problems on the team. One hit and that QB is out, who replaces them?

If fomenting hate through racism were a crime, this author would be doing life.
This garbage piece of fiction was written and published with one purpose in mind, to foment hate between the races.
Shame on all of them!
