Is it November already? My 75 cents worth; a few that had serious motivation. Disclosure: I have been a conspiracy theorist since I watched Ruby kill Oswald on TV to shut him up. Then the first Mark Lane book.
Who benefited most. LBJ of course, then the CIA, then the Mafia, then the Cubans who wanted revenge for the Bay of Pigs fiasco. American Cubans not Castro.
LBJ was known for his lust for power. Being VP to those Kennedy boys was more than difficult for him. They put him in a box. He was older and after 8 years of JFK would probably not be able to get nominated and elected.
LBJ stole his first election with a “found box” of ballots. Supposedly found in the trunk of his car. Rumored to use a Texas hit man now and again. Forgot the name, but he may have been the one in the window with the rifle, not Oswald who was likely in the lunch room down stairs. LBI benefited the most and his supposed comment to his former secretary at dinner the night before (after tomorrow we won’t have Kennedy to worry about anymore) kind of seals the deal. Lastly, LBJ set up the warren commission and Hoover who he had in his pocket, to have a quick investigation and not to blame the communist so we could supposedly avoid war. Letting Castro and Russia off the hook at the onset.
The CIA we know was to be disbanded or reorganized. They were set on a big war in Vietnam. Kennedy wasn’t being a team player.
I think it was 99 when Showtime ran a movie called Bonanno a Godfather’s Story. I sat amazed when after the movie they interviewed the old don who died in I think 2002.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0179804/
Bonanno said, the mob killed Kennedy and one of the shooters was in the sewer grate. I read since then the angle of a shot from there would have been impossible. What to believe?
When Carlos Marcello was godfather of New Orleans reporting to Giancana in Chicago, Robert Kennedy lost a case to deport him since he had been in the country only about 65 years and somehow never became a citizen. The hearing was in NO and he controlled a lot of people including judges. After losing in court, Kennedy had him swooped up off the street and dumped in the hills of Guatamala without a wallet. Somehow 3 days later he was back in NO. Motivation.
In the book it describes why he was the man behind the assassination and that it was planned at his restaurant on Lake Ponchitrain, where they put bodies in barrels and released them off the back dock of the place into the water. Ferry and Oswald reputedly at the meeting. Marcello could not have done that without approval. Which brings us to Sam Giancana.
RFK was going after Giancana and Hoffa who ran one of the largest pension funds in the country. The Teamsters. Interesting when at the time JFK and Giancana were both boffing Judith Exeter. The mob was known for skimming off pensions like the teamsters, the longshoremen and the United Mine Workers In fact The mob got the UMW behind Kennedy and he won the WV primary when Humphrey was ahead nationally. That primary gave Kennedy the momentum and Humphrey was defeated by JFK. They also controlled some of the poll workers in Chicago where Chicago tuned in their vote count last in 1960 and Kennedy won over Nixon by the margin in that state give or take. When Daley was asked where his vote count was, by Kennedy’s campaign manager, he reportedly said, let me know how many votes you need.
When it was seen that RFK with his brother’s approval was going after the mob, Giancana sent mob fixer (the man who worked with the CIA to try to kill Castro, you remember poison his drink or his cigar) Johnny Roselli to Hyannis Port to talk to Joe Kennedy and get him to stop what the boys were doing and remind them who their friends were that got them elected. The old man said the boys would be there at Christmas and he would talk to them then. He suffered a major stroke and subsequently it was clear by their actions JFK snd RFK weren’t going to let up with their prosecution.
This is my readers digest version of the motivation of some to kill JFK. I also believe because of obfuscation the truth will never be clearly known. The strategy of the plotter is to confuse with numerous theories. Notice how quickly when something comes out it is so quickly debunked. And notice how many theories there are. I believe that is by design to fog up and confuse. Example a guy in prison says he pulled the trigger behind the grassy knoll fence. A month later someone says it wasn’t him.
Lastly, E Howard Hunt was not home on the day of the assassination. Although he said he was. His home was in Virginia near DC. SPECULATION: He was in Dallas. Even his son said he was not home. A noted plumber and CIA operative.
Plausible Denial: Was the CIA Involved in the Assassination of John F. Kennedy? Mark Lane 2013.
In 1960 Johnny Roselli was invited to be part of a CIA-Mafia plot to assassinate Fidel Castro. Trafficante and Giancano were already involved and other mobsters had an invested interest having lost their casinos in the Cuban revolution. However, the plot failed as did the CIA’s Bay of Pigs invasion.
It is speculated that he was then part of a conspiracy involving Giancana, Trafficante, Lansky and New Orleans boss Carlos Marcello, along with elements of the CIA and Texas oilmen, to assassinate John F Kennedy. James Files places Roselli alongside Charlie Nicoletti in Dealy Plaza, as one of the assassins.
The fact that Sam Giancana was murdered just before he was due to testify before the United States Senate Select Committee about the attempted assassination on Fidel Castro should have discouraged Roselli from testifying, but it didn’t. His testimony is still classified, but on August 9, 1976 his remains were found in a 55 gallon steel drum floating in Dumfoundling Bay near Miami.
He left his Florida home to go out for a game of golf and was not seen alive again.
