That’s how it works: Whenever I kill a varmit and it’s still laying out in a field a bald eagle will show up to check it out. The scavengers will give it plenty of room. The eagle takes what it wants, if anything, then moves on. Vultures take over, take turns, and clean up. A 5/6/7 pound varmit will feed a pack of birds for about 3 days.
I think the eagle likes me: If I’m outside he’ll give me a rolling wingover on his way to check out the carcus.
I saw him twice today. First time flying. Told my son. He didn’t believe me. Then I saw em again and he saw em too. πΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ
