Last week I posted that there was something going on within the PRC military.

Now the Defense Minister, Li Shangfu, has gone missing. This is on top of the Foreign Minister and the top brass of the Rocket Forces (they control the nuclear weapons) going missing. It is said that he and Zhang Youxia, the first vice chair of the Central Military Commission and both under investigation for 'reasons'. I haven't seen a purge like this since Bubba iced some cupcakes with X-Lax.

The only thing that I can find in common is that everyone getting replaced (disappeared) has at some time in the last ten years been high up in the various military equipment procurement commands/ companies. Exactly the sort of capable people that Xi fears.

It remains to be seen whether the CCP leadership or China's youth become unemployed first.

When you noted the missing chicoms had run various military procurement commands I think I heard Groucho’s duck come down with a “bingo” card. Raking off a piece of the action when spending gummint money is the standard commie (dimokrat) MO. That’s how they get their dachas, yachts, foreign accounts, etc. What with XI being short of bucks, yuan, etc. it would be entirely predicktable that he would put some pressure on his team of dirtbagz to cough up some of their stash.

Pootin does the same thing. He’s still going after his bunch of Oli’s that scammed Russian assets after the breakup 30 years ago. No sense of humor. Can’t take a joke. Big deal commies frequently forget who they owe kickbacks to.
