The thinking is that if we do too good a job they pull out all the stops. Can we do good enough that the dirty dems think they can't win next year? Hard to say even with massive cheating,(which has not happened yet IMHO). The only hope for them would be to start WWIII(which it appears they are doing now) and refuse to give up the office of president or anything else in the govt.
It's a legitimate concern,could easily happen.
