Not sure if I’d qualify as a meat human. But I’d be in the running for mouse human. Crows don’t hang around but there are two magpies that live here. They’re gotten themselves in one of my live traps a couple times. So I explained to them that I’d let them go if they take care of my mice. They seem to agree. I catch a mouse every week or so and I leave the carcus under a tree, in the same place, all the time. It’s always gone before the day is over. A mouse seems to feed a couple magpies for two or three days?
Try not to call me “man who talks to magpies.” Oh, by the way, it’s possible to teach a magpie to talk by mimicking. Been there. Seen it.
