James Bond was always bad news. But men like Bond were felt to be necessary during the Cold War. Are they still needed? Or are they focused on the wrong enemies?
Or maybe Bond was fighting the wrong enemies most of the time even back then. Most of the time he wasn’t fighting the Soviets. Maybe we should expect that he’d fight for woke billionaires who want to control the world now.

Reading James Bond has been a guilty pleasure of mine since I was a kid. Grateful to get a head’s-up on Higson’s piece of garbage. Keep leftist politics the hell out of James Bond. I’m currently enjoying Anthony Horowitz’s “Forever And A Day,” and his “A Mind To Kill”will be on its way from Amazon shortly. I’ve had the pleasure to read all the non-Fleming Bond authors from Kingsly Aimis to William Boyd. The John Gardner and Raymond Benson novels were pretty good, while the Sebastian Faulks and Anthony Horowitz ones were first rate. Avoid Higson’s tripe like a Covid jab.
Sounds like the new James Bond drinks Bud Light in bubble baths.
