Zelenskyy visits 8 combat brigades in Donetsk Oblast

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited eight combat brigades in the Donetsk Operational and Tactical Grouping on Monday, 4 September.

“Donetsk region. We are visiting the combat brigades that are defending Ukraine as part of the Donetsk operational and tactical group. Important reports, problematic issues, supplies that need to be increased, creation of an auxiliary management system to ensure the brigades’ supply, increasing the motivation of our warriors.”

DETAILS:
Zelenskyy visited the 109th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade, 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade, 36th Separate Marine Brigade, 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade, 53rd Separate Mechanised Brigade, 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade, 37th Separate Marine Brigade, and 38th Separate Artillery Brigade.

DETAILS:
-The Ukrainian President’s Office noted that Zelenskyy also decorated some soldiers. Viktor Sikoza, Commander of the 36th Brigade, received the Order of the Golden Star together with the title of Hero of Ukraine.
-Zelenskyy also presented I-III class Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, a III class Order For Courage, and a III class Order of Princess Olha.
