Not really political at all, into outdoors, camping, mountains and after today my daughter says no more Burning Man. I think they just had to check it out once, happened to be this year when rains came. They are well prepared, she doesn’t seem concerned.
30 or 40 years ago, I might have checked out “burning man”. Something crazy, potentially stupid, once in a lifetime.
Being prepared is key.

So, your D and SIL didn’t really know they were protesting the proposed nearby lithium mine or the slightly farther north gold mine? The burning man hippies are always protesting something. Been at it for decades.
