Yes....sweetie and I were discussing this, the other day....how we fear for our kids/grands, with all of the evil happening, now.
I hear you about the ‘why didn’t see and do more, to stop, the evil upon us, back when?’
I think that about our own parents, too....when the commies flat out announced, on national tv, in the 60s, what their sinister plans were....to take over the country, without firing a single shot. Then, the next thing you know....Madeline (sp?) O’Hare successfully has God taken out of our schools.
Where were the parents lining up, to fight this? Too busy working for a better life, I guess.
Then, the drug scene/free love nonsense took over. It all unfolded, like a well planned roll out.
That’s true, Jane.
Our parents just assumed, close after WWII that all was now fine. Evil had been tamped back, we were all good to go.
Knowing my parents and many others in our small neighborhood, I have to say that they didn’t have the strong faith that is seemingly required to keep freedom. We were not Christians, and I don’t think anyone on our street was particularly religious. I never heard about God until I was in my teens. That may explain a lot.
When I read some of your founding documents, it was obvious that faith was a major factor. Over a bit of time, that got lost with too many people, and evil seeped in.
