“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.”

I remember reading this poem about 50 years ago, as a young man, and being struck by the last three lines.

I was about to start my journey in life. I was intrigued by the premise of the poem, the deliberation of options, and the decision made.

Throughout my life, I have remembered these words.

I took some unconventional paths, but I regret none of it.

And I credit the good Lord for guiding me in my decisions and giving me the courage to pursue His leading, even against conventional wisdom.

It was a time in my life I had almost completed my courses in college. A friend of mine was in the same place with indecision. We had taken lots of art classes and with an art degree and around no really big art related town the art degree wouldn't be a plus getting a job. So we talked about what direction we need to go.

I see the poem as ambiguous. I think it does ALL lead back to the Lord guiding us. Very well said Road Runner.
