Thanks,Judy—looks this one will skate by us.

The surf will be rough.

We rarely get hurricanes in DE—we are sort of protected in our location from the path of most storms. When I lived in NJ, we got them all the time.

Last one we had here was Hurricane Irene in 2011.

The eye of the storm passed right over my town—I went out and looked right up into the eye as it passed by. Eerie.

That’s good, exit. I hope they continue to pass you by. That would be very eerie, looking up into the eye of the storm. If I knew there’d be little or no damage, and I knew everyone would be ok, I’d rather like to experience a hurricane. I hear they’re very loud.

Yes, that’s eerie!

Alicia passed directly over us in ‘83.

I lived close enough to the coast that we got practically full force winds.

Things went from screaming wind and rain to complete, total calm and perfectly clear sky then suddenly screaming storm again.

That’s the last time I stayed for a hurricane.
