“And just what we needed, another water leak.”

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that!

Do you think the freezing temperatures have anything to do with it, or is it all within the house?

Tomorrow night is supposed to get down to 24 here. I put all the kitten hot pads in their houses so they can learn where to go. People are telling me they are not stupid they will go where it is warm, I’m just a worrier. I know I’ll be up in the middle of the night checking on them. Maybe bringing them into my room... I need to clandestinely prepare a litter box to put in there.

Thank you, CB.

This leak stems from the grey tubing and connections that were used when place was built.

It is notorious for failing.

Hubby wanted it changed out, seems we waited too long.

He would have done it himself but didn’t have the tools or inclination since it is in a hard to reach place.

I feel as you but it seems my independent guy found his house heated yesterday. Just walked through the house and then came to door asking to come in and sleep on his blanket on our couch. Always glad to get him off the streets so of course we let him in. Came in earlier this morning and ate then slept for an hour and back out in the cold. Wonder if he'll ever decide to stay in for good?

We all, including our inside cats, look for him at our doors all day long. They will even yell if he's outside wanting in.

With my raynaud's I'm freezing and not looking forward to winter. Getting back under my heavy cover. Back later.

Ha, cottonball, those cats are smart, they can find warmth. But they are babies. When it was freezing here last winter, there were a couple cats outside and I made them a box with blanket house and food outside my door.
