” he wouldn’t spend one minute building a house for a cat “
Cats get cold too, probably colder than dogs since they are smaller. The domesticated ones aren’t built to live outside, like mountain lions and cheetahs are.
Oh, no worries. He’s got lots of rooms in the barn that are warm, especially where the little lambs are.....sometimes he goes into the barn in the morning and the cat is cuddled with one of the lambs, sawing logs.
Sorry, my comment probably came across like he didn’t care about his cat (which thinks it’s a dog). The cat is WELL cared for - which is why he wouldn’t spend a minute building a house for it. If the cat gets out of the barn, then he stays in the house.
Lol that cat of theirs comes to life after midnight. He walks around the house meowing until someone wakes up and pays attention to him. If he’s outside, he sits at the bedroom windows until someone gets up and lets him in (usually Andy, my grandson). Then he sleeps with Andy in his bed.
Believe me.....that cat has a good life. You wouldn’t know it by his crabby disposition, but he’s got quite the life.
