I have to admit I am totally ignorant of how Canadian politics work.
How can you get an election called.
You don’t have election times set like we do?
How can you get an election called.
You don’t have election times set like we do?
Wondering the same.
How does that work?
We have set times, but we also have a mechanism whereby the Prime Minister can call an election. They are every four years, generally. However, say that in the third year the people in power are doing very well and are up in the polls, the PM can call an early election, hoping to get reelected for another four years while he’s riding high.
I will have to find out if there’s any other way for an election to be called, because Turdeau certainly isn’t riding high in the polls.
