That could be it, it sounds like it comes from their throat, like the purr does.

For someone who claims not to know much about animals, I think you know cats pretty well!

Lol I always had cats. Yes, it comes from the throat - they don’t even have to open their mouths. It’s like they want to meow about something, but change their minds and make it a purr - less energy.

I do like cats. I like dogs as well. I just don’t want one. I think you have to LOVE them to give them good homes.
