Wasn’t it Teddy Roosevelt’s(?) speech doesn’t it about public employee unions and how the people paying the bills have no say in anything?
I believe it was during the JFK administration that current civil service laws came into effect and then BOOM, civil service unions abound and the people get screwed at every single turn.
I think most folks would be shocked if they were told what civil servants get these days, when it comes to pay, vacation, comp time, etc etc. The private sector has NOTHING on those perks and benefits. And in order to “attract the best candidates” pay has gone up substantially, again, not really keeping pace with the private sector, actually outpacing it.

That EO needs to be rescinded.
But that applies to federal employees.

Best thing parents can do is pull their kids from these schools.
FDR was against government unions and said so. JFK issued an EO allowing them in FedGov. LBJ codified it into law so it would take federal legislation to rid FedGov of them. State governments have them likely through state legislation, to get rid of them would require state legislation.
