Should have been obvious that the green mantra has been for some time: you will have to make do with all the green energy you can produce. Rationing is the solution.

I’ve always wondered about the effect of wind turbine use on a massive scale would do to earth’s temperature profile at the surface. Changes in normal wind patterns and possible warming of parts of the ocean, etc. Seems to me like this isn’t discussed much at all.

In tomorrow’s news: “Germany is raising taxes to cover the trillion dollar estimated cost to cleanup the global toxic waste from producing the renewable energy components like windmills and solar panels.”

“Wind and Solar combine for only 6%. It looks like lots of money and economic damage for little gain.”

On top of that, unless you have HUGE storage batteries, you only get that power when weather conditions permit, whereas with fossil fuels, the ‘storage’ are the huge natural gas tanks and piles of coal...and can be accessed whenever needed.

As to the future, it seems we’ll all be pushed into having access to electricity when it is available, rather than the 24/7 access we’re all used to. Then it will be up to us - store power (really energy) when it is available for use when power is not available, or sit in the dark. Of course you can also have backup generators, but hurry up, as they’ll be outlawed sooner, rather than later.

It will be our choice as to how to deal with our future, but if you want to see an example of that, look at South Africa, where power now is available for only about 12 hours per day and there’s a phone app so you know when you’ll be shut off (with on/off durations being on the order of 4 to 6 hours).

Germany just shut down a wind farm and reopened a coal mine.

Cost per kilowatt hour

Germany = 55 cents
USA = 18 cents

Any questions?

Half a bowl of soup in a concentration camp is half of your daily ration according to the ones running the camp. Doesn’t tell how much is needed, but it will do for now.

In other news, Germany dismantles its wind and solar farms to restart coal-fired energy plants.

Excellent point it is far easier to run a society on “renewable” sources if the demand for electricity decreases. Imagine a society where electricity is rationed and the power is cut off at 10 pm each night except for a bare minimum needed for heating. Your EV can only be recharged on certain days and has a monthly ration. Air conditioning is banned or severely restricted. Even the vaunted electric train system becomes intermittent with passengers often left stranded. While air travel exists it will be exclusively for the elites and those with ample social credits. This is the utopia of the zero carbon cult.
