A capitalist democracy can only continue to throw out wealth for everyone as long as neither the capital nor the democracy (i.e., the masses) gains full power over the other.

I'm not sure the founders dealt with this second balance of power issue. The very concept of private property, totally apart from the property of the King/Queen, was very new back then.

I imagine they didn't envision a non-state money power ruling the world.
