Does not work like that.
You body’s regulatory system registers and increase in Co2 in the blood stream, not a decrease in O2. Several individuals have been exposed to high nitrogen low oxygen environments and simply passed out. When those who were lucky enough to be revived report on their experience, they did not report any form of panic or anxiety. The just went to sleep.
