I agree. This is a big deal.
Americans are already competing against cheaper foreign grads. We need to take care of Americans first, see that they have the opportunity to compete & work for their dreams.

Right now white males are discriminated against for college admission, for jobs filled on the basis of “equality of outcome” not merit. The more cheap labor that is imported, labor that is afraid to complain against poor treatment because if they lose their visa they get deported, the more difficult the economy becomes for American workers.

Agreed. Son and Son-in-Law both work in the tech industry as software engineers - both have been denied promotions and/or better positions that went to Indians or lesser qualified POCs.

SIL has been furiously looking for a new position b/c he believes the company he works for is going under. He’s a senior engineer with advanced degrees from Ivy League universities - he’s gone on interview after interview, most of which are grueling, made it to the final stages... and no job offers in the past eight months.

My son’s friend just graduated with honors with a degree in software engineering - has had no job offers after countless interviews, works retail and does some consulting on the side. A generation ago, he’d be making six figures.

Both family members have told me if the management is Indian, they only hire their own - and are able to get away with is as “minorities.”
