“NASA got caught faking communications (i.e. no lag time from “the moon”) many times in their Apollo archives.”

Interesting. I’ve never heard/read that before. Can you share your source?

Here is the “official” explanation for the lack of delays:

https://www.quora.com/Why-did-there-seem-to-be-no-delay-in-communication-between-Mission-Control-and-Apollo-astronauts-on-the-moon

However Internet sleuths who got into the weeds and didn’t trust NASA’s version found many “non-lag” back and forth between “the moon” and NASA.

NASA’s “they were really talking over each other” “explanation” is hilarious.

By Apollo 15-17 the astronauts got lazy and bored and sometimes forget to “wait” the required time while they frolicked on their “moon dune buggy”.

Houston did maintain discipline—they did not seem to “talk over” anyone....

:-)

Btw—proof of the “dune buggy” hoax is at the very bottom of this article:

https://www.aulis.com/rover_fenders.htm

Apollo 15,16 and 17 dune buggies had the exact same oil leak from the left rear wheel—at that point the stage crew was just getting lazy—no need to fix oil leaks when you are not actually driving anywhere.

:-)
