I see your point, but there is no doubt this was a strategic decision by PDJT.

My guess is the celeb couple is there to remind everyone of the elephant in the room (metaphorically speaking...not Christie).

I think it also emphasizes that Trump surrogates are sufficient to handle the relatively washed-out would-be candidates. The only one up there with an ounce of charisma is Vivek.

Finally, it is Trump giving them all the proverbial finger, while waving a friendly "Hi there" to the MAGA base.

Just guessing of course. PDJT is a master showman. When it comes to political psychology, I can only admire his genius...often, after the fact.
