Thank you for pointing that out-my ancestors came to the New World from the Spanish Pyrenees in the late 16th century and were common farmers, herders, etc-not nobility, they were not financially able to get a Spanish bride in the frontier areas they settled in. So they married local Native American women-we know some of those young women were Apaches, so little doubt a few were also their cousins, the Aztecs. In any case, they were better suited to farm and ranch life on the frontier that is now south and west Texas and New Mexico than a Spanish girl used to being in a town.

I have a cousin who is married to an archaeologist whose thing is the study of Paleo-Indian ruins, culture, etc- so I’ve read extensively about both my Spanish ancestors and the few Native ones-both were bloodthirsty, tortured people to death, raped, murdered and stole treasure from each other-the Spanish Inquisition was an abomination perpetuated in God’s name-no better than what Muslims did in the Middle Ages, or Mongols, etc.

Every group of people has practiced torture, ritual murder and cannibalism in the last 1000 years-those lily-white Druids did it, as well as other European people. They way I see it, neither Natives or Spaniards were people I’d call better than the other, but those were brutal times to live in-the conquistadors were NOT anything to “thank God for”-their methods of torture and death were just more refined than those of the natives-check out the way they not only murdered and enslaved Natives, but their own “common” people in both Spain and the New world-they considered them lesser beings. NOT nice people...

Now, please excuse me-I have to go sacrifice an enemy warrior and drink his blood...

The problem is selective history. Denying true factual history does not change that history. Yet there are still 12th century mental firewalls that block out true history in complete denial of their own historical reality.

So what? Every culture has made mistakes through the ages. Why deny the reality if it has changed for the better? “Yes, Christianity screwed up a few times too, but we fixed it for the better”. Except this hints of being imperfect. Can’t even consider being imperfect.

Well... Man as a whole IS imperfect, absolutely none are exempt. At least it would not be dishonest and hypocritical. Honesty is good in God’s eyes, only then can one claim some sense righteousness. Trying to hide reality or lie about reality does not change reality.

Because of the fact man IS imperfect there is not one truly pure faith. And it is not the fault of the faith, it is the fault of man for not practicing that faith as it was truly meant to be practiced.
