It would be fun to find an equally detailed history of special counsel laws picking up from 1999 to present since things seemed to have changed.

Not that I would have anything to say about anything, I would like to see some changes:

1) Uphold the valid function of Congressional oversight and force agencies to be forthright at hearings so that Congress can authorize budgets and make sure the agencies are actually following the law. (Wray hides behind 'sources and methods' and I suspect both are actually corrupt if fully exposed like violation of Bill of Rights protections.)

2) Make a law such that a fake, dormant, or "show" investigation doesn't prevent Congress from doing proper investigations that may happen to have the same or similar goals/targets but are stymied by Deep State Bureaucrats.
