Related to potential drug purchases for pro-actively assembling meds, I searched for treatments for Tetanus. I may do this for a few other illnesses and just focus on those.

In my prior post about Tetanus meds, there's more. Anti-toxins, anti-bacterials, anti-convulsants etc. This one is also on the kit list:
Doxycycline (Vibramycin, Doryx, Doxy 100, Adoxa, Monodox)
Doxycycline inhibits protein synthesis and thus bacterial growth by binding to 30S and possibly 50S ribosomal subunits of susceptible bacteria. A 10- to 14-day course of treatment is recommended.
ransomnote: As xone points out, a Tetanus infection, once symptomatic, is not 'curable' and must run its course, so I think the emphasis would be on destroying the bacteria ASAP once wounded in hopes of not becoming symptomatic. But it is survivable:
"Is it possible to survive tetanus?
With proper treatment, less than 15% of infected people die. Wounds on the head or face seem to be more dangerous than those on other parts of the body. If the person survives the acute illness, recovery is generally complete."
"There's no cure for tetanus. A tetanus infection requires emergency and long-term supportive care while the disease runs its course. Treatment consists of wound care, medications to ease symptoms and supportive care, usually in an intensive care unit.Mar 25, 2023"
I read somewhere a while back - that immediate cleaning with Povidone-iodine and letting it sit on the wound 30 minutes would kill the bacteria. I don’t know for sure, obviously, but hopefully someone else can chime in.
I clean all my wounds with Povidone-iodine or Chlorhexidine
I did update my tetanus shot recently (deep wound at the chicken coop) - but I did make sure the shot was mfg pre Covid.
