True dat, for sure. You should've seen it on 05/03/99, after that monster blasted through. Winds had decreased by that time to "only" 245 mph or so from the original 318 mph, but that was still plenty strong enough to remove an entire mile of chain-link fence from the base's western perimeter. Weirdest of all is that no one ever reported finding it. We never found out where it ended up.
