Ya know, if I could buy a cheap EV with say 100 mile range for $10k and charge if at home, it would be practical for most of my daily driving needs. The IC engine has created a “one vehicle for all purposes” paradigm and EVs can’t compete. The manufacturers developed the wrong solution for the wrong reasons. Because of woke government meddling - if they’d been faced with meeting true market needs things would be completely different.

It’s going to get much much worse. In 15 years, ICE engines will effectively be regulated out of existence for consumers (a long with a whole bunch of other stuff, like air conditioners and refrigerators). Unless there is some kind of revolt or revolution.

I can fill up my Tundra and drive wherever I want, even in this 105F Texas heat. Air conditioning blowing on high, and pulling a gooseneck trailer to boot. 350HP, yeah 14 mpg nothing to brag about but it will go anywhere I want to go!

Yup—what we need are cars that are less expensive to own and operate—however they work.

.Gov would hate that.
