I know people don't like to hear this but the pro-life folk (and I am one of them) are outnumbered by the pro-choice folks. At least in terms of people who get out and vote.

Many women (and some men) are so fanatical about abortion that this is really the only issue that matters for them. Whenever abortion is on the ballot, you can bet that they will get themselves to the polls, as the recent election in Ohio (a red state) demonstrated.

This is the main reason the "red wave" of the 2022 elections was blunted. The recent overturn of Roe vs Wade drove these fanatical people to the polls in huge numbers.

While the GOP eked out a victory in the House, it definitely cost them a good 30-40 seats, as well as clear control of the senate.

I will always be pro-life and will continue to support pro-life candidates but I have come to the hard recognition that many others are perfectly fine with killing babies and there is nothing we can say that will convert them.

So when conservatives make this issue the hill to die on, well, you see the results at the polls.

And, not even all conservatives want to outlaw all abortions in all circumstances. Many conservatives are in favor of exceptions such as rape, incest, and life of the mother.

There is no political support for absolute bans on abortion. I know some on this thread talked of how we have to stand before God someday and all that.

What would God say about someone such as me? I have volunteered and donated supplies and money to pro-life pregnancy centers. But I have voted for candidates who did not support absolute bans on abortion. So what will God way, when I am standing before him?

Are we required to abandon all political considerations, in voting, because of the abortion issue? Are we supposed to just accept political defeat, and thus cripple our ability to elect conservative candidates who can work for conservative values on other issues, because of the abortion issue?

What we know is that if you’re raised a democrat there is less pushback socially and less reason to cause yourself personal pain by becoming a conservative or republican. Only since Obama’s second term have the democrats shut up about being the “kind compassionate caring people” mantra yet republicans are not just mean, they are now evil.

If you are raised by conservatives, you will still hide that in college or in the K-12 classrooms where members of the teachers union are lording over you, trying to change your gender outlook, making your parents out to being evil if they oppose the LGBT agenda, or global weather.

There is a point when a man stops being a liberal, usually in his early 40’s when he has a mortgage, car payments and raising kids. That point where your passionate footsoldiering for leftist policies seems misguided. That point where you can’t really escape responsibility.

If you just look at the numbers, almost a majority of political elections are decided by 5% of the voters. The democrats would have never lost an election if they didn’t abort twice the number of conservative abortions - they killed their eternal Amerikan Majorities with abortion. If even 75 of those aborted by democrats were voting republican, it would not overcome the fact that they have killed their majority.

I agree. Like legacy media, our education system is controlled by the same type of people. The influence and brainwashing that legacy media and our education system has on our society is WHY people are behaving like godless, anti-American thugs and socialists; and why people vote democrat

Is there a Judeao-Christian moral majority in America? At this point, I don't know. Will we ever see our nation come to a place where we have reverential fear of God in our laws and government? We are now doing evil things that even Sodom and Gomorrah did not do.

Can we change? I'll revert to a passage of scripture from Ezekiel 37:13 - "The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by His Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley, and it was full of bones. He led me all around among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, and indeed, they were very dry. Then He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones come to life?” “O Lord GOD,” I replied, “only You know.”

Will American repent? “O Lord GOD, only You know!”
