Well, his father ran a group of gas stations, so I am sure he knows how to pump gas. Plus, he is two years younger than I am and I recall the switch to self-serve happening pretty early in my days as a driver. He may never have experienced full-service. The ad was poorly-staged, and neither he nor anyone e!we involved were on the ball enough to pick up that he was “pumping” gas with the pump off. Think of how much could have been accomplished if Pence had swiped his credit card to start the process and cut loose with an expletive (as I have done) when he saw the price.
