McDonald’s sweet tea specifies a brix (dissolved solids %) of about 6.2%, vs. a Coke/Pepsi who have a brix of about 11%

Note, your morning glass of orange juice has a brix also of about 11.8% (so most sodas imitate the natural sugar level of fruit juices)

So while McDonald’s sweet tea has sugar, its less than your average non-diet soda.

**************

It may surprise a lot of folks if they read the
labels on a lot of diet drinks. More sugar than
they may have expected. Also they can use a non
diet ingredient that isn’t listed as sugar.
