But General Grant opposed that didn’t he?

In your opinion, was General Grant so dumb that he was out maneuvered by Lee in the legal sense, or was General Grant himself a traitor for protecting traitors?

Grant favored pardoning him. Lee was pardoned, officially by President Gerald Ford in 1975. Lee wasn't pardoned immediately after the war but his citizenship was restored. Try another trick question you moron.
