Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX) was handcuffed and placed face-first on the ground by law enforcement while trying to assist a medical emergency at a rodeo over the weekend. When a 15-year-old girl started having a seizure Saturday night at the White Deer Rodeo, Rep. Jackson offered his help as an emergency room physician.

The story is poorly written and atrociously displayed on a laughably cluttered webpage, typical of the confused, directionless conservative media attempts to somehow mount a challenge to the MSM monopoly.

Unless somebody thought the Doctor was touching the victim inappropriately, I can’t see why he was treated that way, except for one reason. Somebody knew this Doctor is a Friend of Donald Trump, so they had to find some way to give this man a hard time, even though he was trying to help someone.

My second career is as a pediatric outpatient nurse. My #1 patient is a seizure prone 17yr old. Getting attention in the first minute or two is critical. Valtoco is a nasal spray that stops most seizures instantly. One dose up each nostril. As an ER physician he would know this and if the deputies had not been such tools, he would probably could have made sure of her safety and had the deputies contact her parents to find out if she had had prior seizures and was on any meds. I’ve never heard of law enforcement handcuffing docs except in larger city ER’s where the doc’s and nurses want to see a searh warrant before taking samples from a patient. Crazy , just Crazy

Next time just walk away. It doesn’t pay these days to be a Good Samaritan, or a physician offering help. No good deed today goes unpunished. Let some other sap step forward next time.

There’s little trust in America today. Take that anyway you want.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Trump.

More likely the doctor dared to not instantly obey the commands of the police. Don’t worry about any injured people. Just obey authority.

Yes, the article is skimpy on details. But here’s the thing. Too many cops today will escalate. They look for any reason to escalate. So that’s my guess here. The doctor tried to help. He tried to do the right thing. The cops didn’t like that he didn’t whimper like a beaten dog. So out came the cuffs.

I’m basing my opinion on what I’ve seen in the past. Yeah, I could be wrong.

Back the blue, till it happens to you. Many (not all) cops are like this. Did you see, some idiot cop (Utah) grabbed hold of a nurse, who refused to draw blood 🩸from an unconscious victim, with no warrant, who I think later on died anyway. The cop got fired, and the nurse won a ton of money in the lawsuit.

I remember that. She should be allowed to pee on his head in front of a bunch of cops and jailed prisoners. Put it on twitter.

I can imagine such a Power Struggle, especially with a physician like Dr. Jackson. He is decisive and single minded;
(as one would like a good doctor to be).

There is a video on YouTube of an ambulance that responded to a traffic accident. A paramedic is tending to an injured motorist.

A state trooper shows up. He doesn’t like the way the ambulance is parked. So he tells the paramedic to immediately move it. No can do, says the paramedic. I’m busy trying to save this man’s life.

The paramedic ends up in cuffs.

The guy probably WILL sue them, but the idiots in the department, will probably say they were justified. If they admit wrong doing, it just gives the doctor more ammunition for the lawsuit. Sometimes they admit wrong doing, but I tend to think, much of the time, they don’t.

Never been to White Deer, Texas.

Small town of about 1000, about thirty miles east of Amarillo.

Being a small town where everyone knows everyone, there has to be some political animosity towards the Doctor/Politician to cause this arrest.

Unreal. Nearly a certainty this was a cop on a power trip. Guaranteed Jackson was doing normal doctor stuff for her.

There are a lot of crazies out there who should be locked up. The cop didn’t know who Ronny Jackson was. He could have been one of the crazies who have no right to be involved in a medical emergency.
Jackson should have presented ID first, called 911 (in case current medical assistance was incompetent) and given advice, and assisted if allowed to.
Cops aren’t mind readers and fail also.
If the kids OK, that’s all that counts.

“Jackson should have presented ID first, called 911 (in case current medical assistance was incompetent) and given advice, and assisted if allowed to.”

That is the gayest thing I have heard all day. Guaranteed he told the cop he was a doctor. And it’s idiotic for the Doctor to be wasted to call 9/11. Especially when the cop has a radio, a phone and should be the one wasting minutes on 9/11.
I swear I can almost imagine you pinching your nose shut when you say “Jackson should have presented ID first, called 911 (in case current medical assistance was incompetent) and given advice, and assisted ***if allowed to***.”

So if some flatfoot obese cop in a town of a thousand says you may not give lifesaving treatment, you must meekly obey? LOL

Hey, if non-citizens can join the Army, why can’t crooks join the police force?

Diversity, equity and Fairness must come first!

That was a shameful episode. I think cops are NOT our friends. Not all cops are jerks, but many are.
