AG Merrick Garland is NOT allowed to appoint David Weiss as special counsel. Garland is defying federal regulations. He only can name someone “outside the United States government” (28 CFR 600.03).
So, the fix is in. Weiss will continue the obstruction & Biden protection.
So far that several comments I’ve heard about this. Is everybody going to just talk about it on TV or tweet about it, or can someone actually DO something?

Appointing Weiss is beyond ridiculous. Just when you think the administration couldn’t get more obvious that it covers up everything they do something like this.
Weiss thinks anyone can trust him to be a special counsel and Garland agreed.
Weiss’s actions with the deal and trying to sneak it past Noreika is the reason why the probe needs a special counsel.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan went off on Weiss’s appointment: “David Weiss can’t be trusted and this is just a new way to whitewash the Biden family’s corruption. Weiss has already signed off on a sweetheart plea deal that was so awful and unfair that a federal judge rejected it. We will continue to pursue facts brought to light by brave whistleblowers as well as Weiss’s inconsistent statements to Congress.”
But the DOJ also filed “to dismiss the Hunter Biden plea deal case in Delaware.”
The DOJ said since Hunter pled not guilty, they will have a trial. The trial cannot take place in Delaware because it doesn’t have jurisdiction:
“On June 20, 2023, the United States filed a criminal information charging the Defendant with two counts of failure to pay taxes, in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7203. ECF 2. Venue for these offenses does not lie in Delaware. Rather, venue for these offenses and any other related tax offenses lies either in the Central District of California or in the District of Columbia,” the filing also says.
