How terrible!
From kindergarten up until my sophomore year in high school
I was shunned, made fun of rejected to be chosen for teams in phys ed., etc.
The little black kids, polish kids, and kids like me hung together.
In MY case, I was called “Dirty, stupid, ugly a “river Rat” a savage and other things I don’t care to type.
My Crime? I was a French Canadian Child.
Kids can be VERY cruel. I don’t care what ANYBODY says, you carry that hurt all of your life.
I did NOT believe sincere compliments and so on.
I WAS however a very good sketch artist.
When the snobs wanted posters for Class President and so on, I CHARGED them for the art work. They paid!
I just got an invitation to my 50th class reunion-I threw it in the trash.
