A mob of people beat a security guard to death outside a Hollywood nightclub early Sunday morning, according to reports.
The violence broke out around 2 a.m. outside the Dragonfly Hollywood at 6510 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles police told Fox 11.
The circumstances leading up to the assault – including whether or not it was gang-related – remain unclear.
LAPD West Bureau Homicide Division Detective Samuel Marullo told KTLA the security guard was confronted by a group of about 10 people and fell into the street. The mob then kicked and stomped him to death.
The security guard was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries. His identity has not been released.
No arrests have been made as of Sunday evening.

Criminals are taking over because we are doing the equivalent of TSA strip searching elderly white women while letting Muslim women wearing veils go unchecked. Spread that idiocy across the entire police spectrum and you get what we’re living with today. Rudy Guliani ran down New York’s crime rate to the lowest it had been in decades with his stop and search policy, but because cops searched those, they deemed most likely to be criminals instead of just anyone, it was racist. I think even blacks appreciated not being victimized by black criminals.
Hollywood is a bucket of s**t. Low life, homeless, drug addicts, freaks, criminals...Once upon a time they had to pay me well just to enter that city. It still wasn’t worth it. Sure glad that’s all in my past.
Now they are $85,000 SUVs.

I only paid a little over $40,000 more than that for a custom-built four-bedroom house (some 30 years ago).

Thanks. I was never a games creator; it was all straight business - banks, insurance, a little for the government, behind the scenes in retail, etc.
I have skills but as I kept moving on and often upwards, some of those got rusty. Now mostly legacy systems but I haven’t been on those for nearly a couple decades or more.
I could still lead teams, no problem. And with a bit of practice get back up to speed.
