In the early 1970s, my older brother purchased an 8-track tape of Three Dog Night's biggest hits. That was when I learned what an 8-track track was.

I thought it was so cool to jump from one song to the next with the push of a button. Other than being a bit clunky, IMHO, 8-tracks were much superior to the cassette tapes that replaced them in the marketplace.
