Three Dog Night was the biggest group of the early 70's, now they are forgotten.

They’re no more forgotten than other big groups of that era. They were a great example of the sixties bands than the singer-songwriters of the 70s, but had stronger vocals and excellent arrangements. Hit-making machine in action.

Great group that hasn’t received the credit they deserve.
Easy and Liar are my favorites.

Largely ignored because they performed others songs.

The John Lennon interview in Rolling Stone. The thought 3 Dog Night was crap.

That was my era. I couldn’t stand them. Over-produced drivel.

Their current road drummer sat in with the band I was in in Florida a couple of times. Pat Bouts. Nice guy and obviously an excellent drummer. 🔊🎸

I’ve always wondered— Why did they name the Bullfrog, Jeremiah ???
To: DallasBiff
I have all their hits on my phone and my older but paid for Genesis has the same stereo system as the Rolls Royce Phantom.
Fun!

Hoyt Axton wrote the song and the line originally was “Jeremiah was a prophet”

Chuck Negron’s voice was always the best. His songs were my favorites.

They were the first concert I ever saw. They played with T-Rex, lol.
To: willarryk
While they did an excellent job on Liar, I’ve always slightly more preferred the original Argent version.
Three Dog Night was given some great material by other writers and I think by and large they did it justice.

In September I’m going to see them live in Salina, KS. They (or at least some of them are still touring. I couldn’t pass up tickets.
